The Leofoto LB Series Leveling Head with Butterfly Handle acts like a half ball, providing +/-15° of leveling range capability. It locks easily and securely in position with a twist of the large butterfly handle at the base of the ball. This leveling base installs on any tripod with a 3/8" mounting stud.

The anti-twist safety screw design uses three set screws on the platform to secure the ball head in place on top of the leveling base.

Really very nice

I bought this to put atop a tripod I have as a way to use the combo to shoot rifles off of. The head is very smooth. Its handles 8#-12# rifles quite well. The butterfly handles will “lock” the head tight in less than 1/4 turn.

Would have been better if it came with a 3/8” thread for a bag at the bottom but other than that works well.

Hate to sound like a fanboy but, like everything else I've bought from Leofoto, this is a sweet piece of kit. Attaches easily to my tripod and super easy to level the camera.
